Taking charge of your life

If so this course could turn your life around. This course gives you the skills to look after yourself in today's busy world.

Moving On

Are you separated or divorced?
Struggling to cope and don't know how to move forward?
Is it difficult for you to deal with the impact on your children, family and friends of the ending of your relationship?

This course gives you the chance to be with others going through similar issues, share experiences and learn how to move forward in a new and positive way!

Partners to parents

Do you have young children?
Losing your way as a couple?
Do you never find time for yourselves?

This course will help you to work together to solve family problems, identify ways to make life easier and manage conflict. Research shows that one of the crucial factors in parenting young children is the bond of the couple relationship. On this course you will be supported in strengthening the bond between you.

Riding the storm

This course is for you if you are struggling to cope with your teenagers. It helps you to manage conflict, negotiate boundaries, understand the pressures of being a teenager and helps you to rebuild your relationship with your child.

All these courses are run on a weekly basis in an evening or a Saturday morning at our premises 96 Mansfield road in the city centre.

These courses are 22 hours long and are accredited by the Open College Network. We work in partnership with Broxtowe College. For details of courses for which we are currently recruiting please look at our News page.

We select our trainers for their interpersonal skills as well as their training ability. Our trainers create an environment where they encourage and enable course participants to join in group discussions and activities. Students are actively involved in the learning process and have full opportunity to raise concerns and practise skills.
