First Appointment
Your first meeting with a Counsellor is an opportunity to talk about your difficulties. For some people this consultation may be of sufficient help to resolve their problem, whilst others may need to be referred elsewhere. Alternatively, you may decide with your counsellor that a course of ongoing counselling or sex therapy would be helpful. This consultation does not commit you to further counselling.
Together or Alone?
We are happy to see you either on your own or with a partner. If your partner does not wish to come with you for your first appointment, counselling will still be helpful to you as an individual and your partner may join you at a later stage. Some people prefer to have counselling on their own at first to work out their feelings before seeing a counsellor as a couple.
