Sex TherapySex therapy can help with a whole range of sexual difficulties, including:-
93% of clients tell us that we help them make their sexual relationships significantly better. What sort of people go?Sexual problems affect people of every cultural or social background and from every walk of life. They affect people who are straight, gay or bisexual and from every age group. Some people have a problem which has been around for ages, and some people have developed problems in later life or following childbirth, illness or some other event. Most problems involve a combination of physical and psychological elements. Many of the people who come to us for sex therapy are in committed couple relationships but who experiencing sexual difficulties. Others come to us as individuals because of ongoing sexual problems. If you would like the opportunity to discuss your problems and find out whether sex therapy could help you, you should register for a First Appointment with a Sex Therapist. Sometimes a course of Relationship Counselling may be an appropriate first step, where sexual problems are the result of other relationship difficulties.
If it is decided that you would benefit from sex therapy, we will then make arrangements you will have a further appointment to allow the therapist to fully understand the problem, and to explore what you might want to achieve or change in your sexual relationships. If you have a partner they will be seen separately from you at this stage. You will then together have regular hourly sessions with your Sex Therapist and will be given a personalised programme of exercises to do at home. You will never be asked to undertake any sexual tasks during a session. Therapy usually consists of regular weekly appointments over a period of 10-20 weeks. |
