Counselling, support and information for all relationships
We've teamed up with Nottingham City Libraries to deliver a online course on parenting teenagers.
Parenting Teenagers is a course being managed by Nottingham City Libraries. A combination of Zoom meetings and online learning make for a fun and interactive five-part course where parents are introduced to skills and ideas to help rebuild their confidence in being a parent or carer of teenagers.

Looking at common issues faced, the course provides support for parents and an opportunity to develop skills to be best prepared for the unique situation that is parenting teens. This course affirms current parenting know-how and equips them with additional tools to use when faced with the challenges teenagers present, aiming to instill assurance for times ahead.

The course is all about positive communication which enables any relationship to develop and thrive. Attendees will be able to share their own practices, as well as learning from other parents about parenting styles, active listening and communication, managing conflict, boundaries and negotiation, managing stress and self-support.

This 5 week online course runs weekly on Thursdays 10am - 11am from 22 October to 19 November. Find out more and how to register at https://www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/leisure-and-culture/libraries/family-and-community-learning-upcoming-free-courses/
